Jakartans Urged to Cast Votes on July 9

Upcoming the presidential election on July 9, Jakartans are urged to cast their votes.

“We urge the residents to cast their votes. Voting is the nationalism soul and our love towards the nation of Indonesia,” stated Jayakarta Students Regiment Commandant, Lukman Hakim, through press release received by beritajakarta.com, Sunday (7/6).

According to Hakim, presidential election is the gate to achieve the glory of Indonesian nation by giving birth to leader candidates who could bring Indonesia into improvements and a nation with dignity.

“General election is a form of consciousness and soul-calling. By coming to polling stations (TPS) and casting votes, it is our soul-calling as citizens who have sense of care, empathy, and even fertile our hart with love to our nation and take part in the process of advancing the nation,” he uttered.

Moreover, Hakim also hopes the candidates of president and vice president as well as their campaign teams and supporters, with a spirit of unity and brotherhood, to promise to all Indonesians and declare ready to realize an integrated and peace general election.

“It is for the sake of advance Indonesia and to maintain the wholeness of Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) based on Pancasila and UUD 1945,” he said.

In different place, West Jakarta Mayor, Anas Effendi, also urged his residents to cast their votes in upcoming presidential election.

“I’m sure most of West Jakartans would cast their votes. In sya Allah (with God’s will), we’re ready to hold presidential election this year. I also urge the residents not to easily be lured by issues that harming themselves,” he expressed.
